The OPRL RAT is now aligned with PackUK’s Recyclability Assessment Methodology version 1.1.
The tool is designed to produce either a RED, AMBER or GREEN outcome based on your answers.
We have also included comments and advice on how to improve the recyclability of your packaging.
We have now added the new material Fibre Based Composite. This means when completing an assessment for Paper and Board / Fibre Based Composite you will need to consider the following:
- If any plastic content – then the weight of this.
- Non-Paper content by weight
We have included an alert for you if you select the wrong option, based on the answers you have given.
